Teach Now is seeking an accomplished Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time temporary primary role in Haringey starting this September. We’re looking for someone who can be the teacher’s right hand while also confidently taking the lead when needed. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position has a strong inclusive focus, making it particularly attractive to candidates who have experience supporting SEND, differentiated learning or pupils who benefit from additional pastoral support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading planned lessons, groups and learning activities.
- Providing class cover when required.
- Delivering focused interventions to close learning gaps.
- Adapting activities for pupils with different learning needs.
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Recording progress and sharing useful feedback with teaching staff.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced primary TA or HLTA with sound curriculum knowledge and the confidence to manage a classroom. HLTA status or an appropriate Level 4 qualification is desirable, although strong practical experience operating at HLTA level will also be valued.
