Teach Now is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a vibrant Croydon primary school. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with ASD during lessons and structured activities.
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
- Promote communication, independence and social development.
- Implement EHCP targets alongside teaching staff.
- Use visual timetables and structured routines where appropriate.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
- Liaise effectively with teachers, parents and the SEN team.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with Autism or additional learning needs.
- Understanding of autism-friendly strategies and inclusive practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, adaptable and positive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
