Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about ensuring every student has a fair and positive exam experience? We’re delighted to be recruiting an Exams Officer to join a thriving secondary academy in Welwyn Hatfield, working across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including support for SEND learners.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role at the heart of the school community, ensuring the smooth, secure and compliant delivery of internal and external examinations. You’ll be the go-to expert for exam processes, working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, SEND colleagues and awarding bodies to uphold the integrity of the examination system.
About the RoleAs Exams Officer, you will:
- Lead the administration, organisation and delivery of all public and internal examinations
- Act as the main point of contact with exam boards (JCQ, AQA, Pearson, OCR)
- Manage entries, timetables, clashes, access arrangements and special considerations
- Recruit, train and deploy invigilators and oversee exam-day procedures
- Work closely with SEND staff to implement approved access arrangements
- Handle results, post-results services, appeals and certification
- Maintain accurate records, data security and full regulatory compliance
