Teach Now is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and dynamic Sports Coach to join a thriving primary school in Enfield.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sport and physical education to make a meaningful impact on children’s confidence, wellbeing, and love for being active. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, helping pupils develop key physical skills, teamwork, and resilience. The role combines teaching, supervision and enrichment, offering variety and genuine reward throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons in line with the school’s PE curriculum and progression plans.
- Teach a wide range of sports and activities, including dance, gymnastics, games, and orienteering.
- Model safe and effective use of equipment, encouraging confidence and responsibility in pupils.
- Lead Breakfast Club and after-school sports sessions, promoting active participation across all age groups.
- Support and plan school sporting events and inter-school competitions.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive approach to physical activity.
- Promote pupil wellbeing and healthy lifestyles across the school community.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders to maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and safety.
About You
- Have experience delivering PE or sports coaching to primary-aged children.
- Be energetic, positive and well-organised, with a genuine passion for sport and education.
- Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
- Understand safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessment in school settings.
- Hold a relevant sports coaching qualification or equivalent experience (QTS desirable but not essential).
