Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to M4.

Teach Now is working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Enfield to recruit a Year 1 Teacher for a short-term maternity cover at the start of the Autumn term (approximately 6–8 weeks). This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable Key Stage 1 experience in a supportive environment.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for a well-behaved and settled Year 1 class with low levels of additional needs. The role is ideal for a confident and enthusiastic teacher who can quickly build rapport with pupils and maintain continuity of learning during this short-term cover.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 desirable)

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers
