Teach Now is working in partnership with a large, mixed, multi‑ethnic comprehensive academy in Harrow to appoint a creative and committed Design & Technology Teacher from September 2026. About the Role

• Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging and practical lessons that inspire creativity, technical skill and innovation
• Support students in developing problem‑solving skills and confidence in workshop environments
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within DT
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, organisation and health & safety in practical settings

Experience or interest in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology would be welcomed, but is not essential.

Candidate Requirements

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026
• Has strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology or a related discipline
• Is creative, enthusiastic and committed to high standards
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and awareness of health & safety
• Is reflective and eager to develop professionally
• Shares the school’s commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £56,154 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
