About the Role

Teach Now is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, nurturing early years setting in Hertford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to supporting young learners with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with special educational needs in the Early Years
  • Assist the class teacher with planning, activities and targeted interventions
  • Help create a warm, safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Encourage independence, confidence and curiosity in young learners
  • Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Work closely with staff, parents and external professionals
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and values

About You

  • Experienced in Early Years or SEN support
  • Patient, nurturing and dedicated to helping every child succeed
  • Creative, proactive and able to use your initiative
  • Passionate about early childhood education
  • Supportive of a Christian/Catholic ethos
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to high-quality care
