The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD), you will:

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with students across Key Stages 1 and 2
• Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Use visual aids, sensory tools, and structured routines to support learning and engagement
• Collaborate with the SENCo, class teachers, and external specialists
• Promote a positive, consistent, and emotionally supportive learning environment

This part-time role is ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact in a flexible setting — whether you're a psychology graduate, a qualified TA, or an experienced caregiver with a passion for SEN education.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a SEN environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional intelligence
• An understanding of PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, or other ASD-related interventions is a plus
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
