Teach Now is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a highly inclusive primary school in Bromley where you'll support pupils with ASD to access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence throughout the school day.

Working closely with class teachers and specialist staff, you'll play an important role in delivering tailored support that enables every child to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with ASD in class and during interventions.
  • Adapt learning activities to individual needs.
  • Encourage communication and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
  • Liaise effectively with teaching staff and parents.

Requirements Applicants should have

  • Experience supporting children with Autism or SEND.
  • Understanding of autism-friendly strategies.
  • A patient and positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
