The Role
Working across Key Stage 1, this varied and fulfilling role combines classroom support, intervention work and PPA cover:
- Morning support in class and leading small group interventions to raise attainment
- Afternoon responsibility for PPA cover in KS1, delivering engaging whole-class lessons
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN
- Working closely with class teachers and senior staff to ensure consistency and progress
An HLTA qualification is not essential, but you must have a proven track record of successfully covering whole-class lessons in a mainstream primary school and delivering impactful booster and intervention sessions.
About You
You will:
- Have strong KS1 experience and excellent classroom presence
- Be confident leading lessons independently
- Have a clear history of raising attainment through small group work
- Bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a child-centred approach
