Are you a high‑achieving graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire young people? This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant secondary learning environment in Brent as an Academic Mentor, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including students with additional learning needs.

The Role

As an Academic Mentor, you will provide targeted academic support to pupils, helping them build confidence, close learning gaps, and reach their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions in your specialist subject
  • Supporting students in lessons and during structured intervention sessions
  • Monitoring progress and motivating learners through consistent pastoral support
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider inclusion team

Subject commitment

  • English: 5 days per week
  • Maths: 4 days per week
  • Science: 3 days per week

Working hours

7:50am – 4:10pm (7.5 hours per day, including a 50‑minute lunch break)

Contract duration

January start until May half term (22 May)
