We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Maths teacher to join one of the best secondary schools in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths to secondary school students KS3 & KS4 and supporting their academic progress. This is a fixed term role until the end of the academic year, but could potentially continue into the new year.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating Maths lessons that meet the needs of students at various levels.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and facilitate student understanding of Maths concepts.
- Assess and provide feedback on student performance, including setting and marking homework, class tests, and end-of-term exams.
- Provide guidance and support to students with learning difficulties and those who require additional help in Maths.
- Collaborate with other Maths teachers and school staff to develop and implement effective Maths teaching strategies and schemes of work.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Maths or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS.
- Proven experience of teaching Maths to school students.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to professional development and enhancing teaching practice.
