About the Role

As the ARP Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering tailored, high‑quality teaching for pupils with a range of additional needs within the school’s specialist provision. You will create a structured, nurturing and engaging learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed. Working closely with the SENCO, support staff, families and external professionals, you will help ensure pupils receive personalised support that enables them to make strong individual progress and develop greater independence and confidence. This role would suit an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream primary teacher with substantial SEND experience and a genuine passion for inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
  • Create a calm, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies and learning resources to meet a range of additional needs
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using assessment to inform next steps
  • Support pupils' communication, emotional regulation, independence and social development
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider staff to deliver targeted interventions

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
