Teach Now are looking for an experienced SEN TA to join a lovely one‐form entry school in Finchley Central. The successful candidate will work in the Autism Provision of the school alongside other like‐minded and experienced teachers and teaching assistants. This is a specialist unit on the same site as the mainstream school, with two classrooms catering to ten children in each class. Our provision offers an autism‐friendly environment where our children are happy and stimulated; each child in the provision has had an autism diagnosis. This is the perfect role for someone with experience supporting children with autism; use of Makaton, PECs or BSL are desirable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced with a passion to work with SEN students
- Trained or experienced in Makaton, PECS or Team Teach trained
- Able to communicate effectively as part of a team
- Able to commit for the duration of the placement
- A minimum of 1 month working in a UK classroom environment within the last two years
- Honest and compassionate
- Happy to complete training to further develop knowledge and understanding in education
- DBS checked or happy to complete one
