Teach Now are recruiting on behalf of an excellent secondary school in Colindale for a Learning Support Assistant to join their brilliant staffing team. This is a forward-thinking school that caters to the local community, led by a Headteacher that realises the importance of school experiences and teaching students to progress in all aspects of life. Here all students are encouraged to ‘be the best they can possibly be’.

The successful candidates will work closely with children that have additional learning needs, as well as in classrooms supporting the main teacher to ensure all students are meeting their individual learning potential.

To be considered for this role you must have relevant experience of working with young people in an educational setting, and will have a knowledge of the local area or similar area. The school are looking for individuals that are:

  • Confident and experienced
  • Able to communicate effectively as part of a team
  • Able to commit for the duration of the placement
  • A minimum of 1 month working in a UK classroom environment within the last two years
  • Honest and compassionate
  • Happy to complete training to further develop their knowledge and understanding in education
  • DBS checked or happy to complete one
