Teach Now is looking for a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time temporary position in Harrow.
This opportunity would suit an experienced TA who can move comfortably between classroom support, targeted interventions and leading learning.
As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you’ll play an important part in helping pupils make measurable progress across the primary curriculum.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading small-group and whole-class learning when required.
- Delivering focused English and maths interventions.
- Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and assessment.
- Identifying pupils who need additional challenge or support.
- Working closely with children with SEND.
- Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
What we’re looking for
- You’ll need strong primary-school experience and the confidence to take responsibility for learning activities with limited supervision.
- HLTA status, Level 4 training or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom-management skills are essential.
