Role Overview

Teach Now is recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled KS1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Greenwich on a full‑time, permanent basis from September 2026. The role is to plan and deliver engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, and to create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe to ask questions, take risks and develop a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, well‑structured KS1 lessons
  • Support pupil progress in reading, writing, maths and the wider curriculum
  • Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and adapt teaching
  • Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior leaders
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and year‑group planning

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1 or strong placement experience for early career teachers
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective assessment practice
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • A reflective, creative and collaborative teaching style
  • Commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
