Role Overview
Teach Now is recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled KS1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Greenwich on a full‑time, permanent basis from September 2026. The role is to plan and deliver engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, and to create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe to ask questions, take risks and develop a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, well‑structured KS1 lessons
- Support pupil progress in reading, writing, maths and the wider curriculum
- Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and adapt teaching
- Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior leaders
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and year‑group planning
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS1 or strong placement experience for early career teachers
- Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective assessment practice
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- A reflective, creative and collaborative teaching style
- Commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
