Are you ready to take on more responsibility in the classroom while continuing to make a direct difference to pupils? Teach Now is recruiting a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Enfield. The school is looking for someone who can confidently support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, lead targeted interventions and step into whole-class delivery when required. This would suit an experienced teaching assistant or HLTA who is comfortable working independently while remaining an integral part of the wider teaching team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons and activities during teacher absence or PPA cover.
- Run focused interventions for individuals and small groups.
- Support pupils who require additional academic or SEN assistance.
- Reinforce positive behaviour and classroom expectations.
- Assist with assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
- Adapt quickly between classes, year groups and learning needs.
Requirements
- HLTA qualification/status or substantial relevant primary-school experience.
- Previous experience supporting KS1 and/or KS2 pupils.
- Ability to lead a classroom confidently and effectively.
- Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- A positive and flexible approach to working with children.
- Enhanced DBS and suitable safeguarding checks.
- Right to work in the UK.
Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience.
