- Record attendance and report relevant issues to teaching or pastoral staff
- Support pupils who need additional clarification or encouragement
- Carry out additional supervision or departmental duties when required
- Maintain safeguarding and health-and-safety expectations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary-school environment

- Confidence communicating with groups of pupils aged 11–18
- Good organisation, reliability and professional judgement
- The ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Satisfactory recent references
- Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, tutor, instructor, sports coach, youth worker or trainee teacher would be particularly relevant
