The role will include:
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support
- Using visual timetables, structured routines and appropriate communication strategies
- Supporting emotional and sensory regulation
- Adapting classroom activities alongside the class teacher and SENCO
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive peer relationships
- Monitoring progress and contributing to pupil support plans
We are looking for:
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD/autism in a school or specialist setting
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of safeguarding and SEND practice
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete one
- Right to work in the UK
