KS2 Teaching Assistant – Brent Location: Brent, London Salary: £90–£100 per day Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary Start Date: 8 September 2026

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who knows how to bring out the best in junior-aged pupils?

Teach Now is recruiting a confident KS2 Teaching Assistant for a busy and inclusive primary school in Brent.

The successful candidate will become a consistent presence within Key Stage 2, helping pupils strengthen their academic skills while developing the confidence and independence needed for the next stage of their education.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to provide targeted support in lessons and interventions.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Supporting pupils across the KS2 curriculum
  • Delivering small-group interventions in English and maths
  • Providing additional support for pupils with SEND
  • Helping pupils remain engaged, organised and ready to learn
  • Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Preparing resources and contributing to assessment feedback

You will need

  • Recent experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Confidence supporting children with different learning needs
  • Positive behaviour-management skills
  • A professional and dependable approach
  • Enhanced DBS eligibility and the right to work in the UK

This KS2 Teaching Assistant position offers the chance to take on meaningful responsibility while working as part of an established classroom team.
