We will match you with suitable assignments based on your preferred year groups, experience and travel arrangements.

  • A Typical Assignment
  • Arrive promptly and familiarise yourself with school procedures
  • Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Set clear expectations and establish positive relationships quickly
  • Support pupils with SEND and English as an additional language
  • Work effectively with the class teaching assistant
  • Complete marking or feedback requested by the school
  • Leave a useful written or verbal handover for the returning teacher
  • Report safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately

What Makes a Strong Brent Supply Teacher?

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experienced in teaching the English primary curriculum
  • Adaptable, confident and comfortable entering unfamiliar classrooms
  • Skilled in positive behaviour management
  • Inclusive in your teaching and able to support varied levels of attainment
  • Dependable, punctual and professionally presented
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Able to provide two recent professional references
  • In possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply
  • ECTs with sufficient school-based experience and strong references are welcome to apply.
