Our experienced Site Manager is retiring and we are looking for an equally skilled replacement. Safeguarding all our children is our priority. South End Junior School is a three form entry Junior school in Rushden. We have 12 classes and 340 children on roll. Our school is a modern, vibrant school where school values are at the heart of everything we do.
Responsibilities will include:
- Security (keyholder)
- Site safety
- Cleanliness
- Lunch duty
- Line manage the cleaning team
- General maintenance of the school site and grounds
The perfect applicant would be a team player, as well as working under their own supervision and using their own initiative. Previous experience of site maintenance is desirable, but not essential. A full induction and ongoing training will be given to support applicants in their new role.
A successful candidate should be able to competently and safely perform a range of general DIY tasks, ie painting, grass cutting and repairs. We require someone who can communicate effectively, write articulately and write reports for Governors’ meetings.
The start of the day will begin at 7.15am, however daily work patterns can be flexible and discussed with shortlisted applicants. The middle of the day will include lunch duty (alternating inside and outside), supervising children eating and playing.
