NSB Trust Support Staff Scale point 3 £24,796 FTE (using April 2025 NJC rates) (£16,799.96 to £20,719.95 Actual, dependent on hours). 30 to 37 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days). 8:00am-4:00pm 4 days and 8:00am-3:30pm 1 day; 30-minute unpaid lunch break (hours confirmed on appointment).

About the Role
Would you like to be part of an exciting journey by joining a newly opened and growing school, based at our brand-new site with outstanding facilities off Thorpeville, to start at the beginning of the new academic year? Northampton School (part of The NSB Trust) is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic member of staff to provide technical and administrative support for the school’s Science Department, working alongside the Lead Science technician and Head of Science. Whilst a background in Science is not essential, a strong interest is desirable. As an integral member of the technician team, you will support teachers, enabling them to deliver a first-class education and ensuring that experimental work forms a pivotal part of students’ lessons. Your main duties will include preparing experiments and demonstrations, overseeing the use, maintenance, and stock-keeping of apparatus, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. You will also support with the ordering of stock and carrying out routine repairs to equipment.
