The position is for 5 days per week, 8:30am – 4:00pm, 38 weeks per year. The post salary is Grade point G, point 8-12. We are looking for a brilliant Family Support Assistant to join our busy team, and who can work effectively with our children and families. The successful candidate will have high levels of emotional literacy and the ability to empathise and support others.
The Family Support Worker will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, providing targeted support for pupils and families and strengthening the school’s pastoral provision. The post holder will work alongside the Pastoral Lead, SENDCo, wider Inclusion Team and external agencies to ensure children’s emotional, social and safeguarding needs are met effectively, allowing them to flourish and achieve.
The successful candidate will have high levels of emotional literacy and the ability to empathise and support others, working effectively with our staff, our children and their families, supporting them in overcoming challenges so they can fully engage in their education and fulfil their potential.
This role will focus on supporting children with their social, emotional and emotional health needs and would suit someone with experience in a similar role. Training and CPD will also be provided.
