Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at one of our client schools. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to ensure that students with special educational needs, including autism and other complex learning needs, receive the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of lessons that are adapted to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting student engagement and participation.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and address any concerns.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, well-organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEND education.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Experience or training in SEND or supporting children with autism is an advantage, but not essential.
