TeachMatch is recruiting dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistants to work within primary and secondary schools across West Yorkshire. This role focuses on supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and thrive within a school environment. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to provide consistent, targeted support that promotes positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support pupils who require additional guidance to manage behaviour and access learning successfully. Support may be delivered on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, depending on individual needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with behavioural challenges by implementing school behaviour policies and strategies
  • Providing in-class support to help pupils remain engaged, focused and on task
  • Assisting with the creation and monitoring of individual behaviour or support plans
