School Overview:
This campus opened in 2015, the second of two schools in Albania fully authorised to offer the IB curriculum through from PYP to IBDP. In 2021 the school also began offering a US programme for Grade 6 to 12 students. With 1100 students and 65 international foreign staff on roll, this school campus with excellent teaching facilities promotes a family feel where the interests of its students always comes first. The school is proud of the fact that 93% of its student body go on to study at international universities.
Location Overview:
Living in Tirana offers a gateway to Europe and is a 2 hour flight from most locations in Europe and directly across the Adriatic from Italy. Albania offers a low cost living experience in a city which prides itself on having the best food scene in the Balkans, alongside great nature and history, Tirana itself is a dynamic city location, yet the mountains and glorious coastline are still easily accessible.
Requirements:
- A suitable teaching qualification, for example a Bachelor of Education OR a degree plus PGCE or teaching licence in your subject of Humanities.
- Experience teaching IB Humanities would be an advantage; MYP in particular is desirable
- Experience of working with students with EAL.
- Previous international school experience is welcomed.
- Flexible and adaptable with a 'can do' attitude.
