Teach Agency are seeking to appoint a confident and committed Year 5/6 Teacher to work in Primary Schools across St Neots and the surrounding areas. This role is well suited to teachers who enjoy working with upper Key Stage 2, preparing pupils for the transition to secondary education, and delivering engaging, purposeful lessons. Opportunities are available on both a day-to-day supply and long-term basis, depending on your availability and preference. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and numeracy, and be confident in managing the expectations and responsibilities of Year 5 and Year 6 classes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Upper KS2 curriculum (Year 5/6).
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and presentation.
- Prepare pupils for assessments and end-of-key-stage requirements where appropriate.
- Work effectively with support staff and follow school policies and routines.
- Provide clear feedback and handover information to school staff.
Key Requirements
- Secure understanding of the Year 5/6 / Upper KS2 curriculum.
- Experience or confidence in teaching Year 6 is desirable.
- Ability to motivate and challenge pupils of varying abilities.
