Are you a passionate KS1 or KS2 Primary Teacher based in and around the Bedfordshire region? Teach Agency is working with a number of primary schools in and around Bedford, providing support with daily and longer term supply needs. We’re looking for additional KS1 and KS2 teachers to start at the beginning of the 2025/26 Academic year in September. If you’re seeking daily or longer-term work, have one or more days free a week, or are looking for full or part-time work, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cover across KS1 and KS2 in local primary schools as required.
  • Maintain classroom management and deliver positive learning experiences for pupils.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work with different year groups and school environments.
  • Complete on-the-day marking to the requirements of the school.
  • Coordinate with the supervising teacher and school staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain professional conduct and uphold safeguarding standards in all settings.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Teaching Qualification, PGCE or equivalent QTS.
  • Experience of working in a UK classroom and of teaching to the UK KS1/KS2 curriculum.
  • Flexible approach to working and an ability to get to local schools in the morning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and an ability to create a positive learning experience for the pupils in your class.
  • Able to complete on the day marking to the requirements of the school.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or are willing to apply for a new one.
  • 2 x satisfactory professional references.
  • Entitled to work in the U.K.

In return you’ll be working with a dedicated consultant who will be available 24/7 to find you work on the days you are available and who will not call you for work on the days you are not. You’ll get weekly pay at competitive rates and a chance to work in local schools within an easy commute of your home.
