Teach Agency is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in St Neots that is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, patient and motivated individual to make a real difference to a child’s education and development.
The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has additional learning needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop confidence and reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Support the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEN setting.
- A patient, nurturing and understanding approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
