Te Puna Wai o Waipapa - Hagley College is seeking a fixed‑term, part‑time (0.8 FTE) counsellor to cover extended leave from 20 July 2026 to 12 November 2026.

What we’re looking for:

  • NZ registered teacher and trained counsellor (NZAC Registration)
  • Experience working with young people and building positive, mana‑enhancing relationships with students, families and staff.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practice and partnership with the Treaty of Waitangi.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling and support to students.
  • Work with teachers, staff and families to promote student well‑being and success.
  • Contribute to the wellbeing team and participate in school policy and practice.
