The arts
Hillmorton High School is a diverse urban coeducational school situated in the southwest of Christchurch. It encompasses Years 7to 13 in dedicated middle and senior schools. We have grown rapidly in recent years to a roll of around 1,400 and with furtherbuilding works underway, the roll is expected to increase further. We provide students with a caring and supportive environment, to help them achieve academic excellence, leadership skills
and a love of learning.
We have a well-resourced and collaborative art department and are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and collaborative art teacher with strongskills in delivering high-quality arts education. Please state your specialisation.
The successful applicant will be a team player, familiar with the relevant curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements and be able to inspire all ākonga to succeed.
Please note, there may be an increase in hours for this position once timetables for 2027 are confirmed.
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the understanding and ability to operate in culturally responsive ways, is essential.
In addition, applicants must be willing to contribute to our co-curricular programmes.
