TE Connectivity’s Strategic Sourcing team develops and implements multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers, and parts/services to achieve goals in supplier quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Driving strategy and execution with cross-functional partners (engineering, manufacturing, product management).
- Managing competitive bids, negotiations, contracting, and continuous improvement for assigned commodities/services.
- Collaborating across business units and regions for optimal TE leverage.
- Ensuring compliance with TE policies and procedures.
Our team demonstrates expertise in procurement competencies such as business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy, project management, and product lifecycle management.
Main tasks- Develop and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and aligned with industry challenges.
- Ensure purchasing policies and processes meet business objectives and operational needs (price, quality, delivery).
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
- Use appropriate resources (including Supplier Development) to ensure supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products.
- Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships.
- Provide management reports, KPIs, and monitor cost performance.
- Ensure parts are sourced in full alignment with production schedules and customer requirements.
- Lead cross-functional projects for localization and outsourcing.
- Master’s degree in business, Supply Chain and Engineering.
- Study CIPS and working towards MCIPS.
- Some basic knowledge of Mechanics and Machine Turning.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Defence and Aerospace Industry in Strategic Procurement.
- Project management capabilities.
- Fluent in English and French is a plus.
