As a Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in the development and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes, with a focus on heat shrink tubing and EMI shielding solutions. You’ll be part of a dynamic technical team, owning the development and execution of scalable, cost-effective manufacturing systems from the ground up.
Your main tasks:
- You won’t just support projects—you’ll drive them. Here’s how:
- Champion quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Define clear project objectives, scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Analyze product requirements and translate them into optimal manufacturing routes.
- Develop robust CAD tooling designs, process capability studies, and cost/resource estimates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align equipment capabilities with product design.
- Lead process development for extrusion, expansion, crosslinking, and finishing operations.
- Investigate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and boost production efficiency.
- Write clear, concise standard work instructions and procedures that enable best-in-class operational execution.
- Partner with Lead Engineers and Ops teams to deploy and validate new processes, equipment, and pilot trials.
Your ideal background:
- You\'re hands-on, technically sharp, and thrive in collaborative environments. Your profile includes:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in manufacturing, automation, process development, and equipment design.
- Skilled in CAD design and familiar with ANSYS simulation tools.
- Solid understanding of extrusion processes, compound mixing, and related tooling.
- Knowledge of control systems and automation technologies is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
- Driven by continuous improvement, curious by nature, and motivated to challenge the status quo.
