Overview
In this role you will lead de-risking and strategic sourcing initiatives for the Aerospace, Defense & Marine segment, partnering with Category Managers and cross-functional teams across EMEA.
You will own end-to-end sourcing projects, from scoping to implementation, focusing on risk reduction, cost and continuity.
The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on RFQ execution and supplier transitions in a global manufacturing context.
You’ll work closely with plants, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver measurable benefits and governance-aligned results.

Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing de-risking projects from scoping through execution, implementation and stabilization
- Collaborate with Category Managers to set objectives, timelines, success criteria, and dependencies
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities on high-impact risks and opportunities
- Drive initiatives such as dual sourcing, re-sourcing, supplier transfers, capacity expansions, and optimization
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities: stakeholder alignment, RFQ prep/execution, supplier engagement, evaluation, recommendations, nomination, and implementation
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, risks and mitigation actions with performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with TE policies, governance, quality, safety, ITAR/EAR, and customer requirements
- Act as central coordination point among Category Management, manufacturing plants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Monitor progress, address constraints, and drive issue resolution to protect project timelines
- Prepare updates, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
- Support Category Managers by taking operational ownership of RFQ execution and supplier engagement
- Key requirements
- Bachelor–level education in a related field
- 8+ years in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, or Continuous Improvement
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a global matrix organization
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes (RFQs, supplier evaluation, awarding, implementation)
- Experience with supplier transitions, dual sourcing, supply continuity, de-risking or resilience initiatives
- Experience with manufacturing plants, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers in manufacturing-intensive environments (preferably A&D)
- Structured project management skills with governance and performance tracking
- Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority
