Job Overview
To carry out inspection and testing to ensure that received products fulfil TE or customer specifications and requirements. To work in ensuring that the various Quality team’s KPI’s and Processes are met and maintained in the support of production and customer service.
Job Requirements
- Performs inspections of purchased parts, materials, sub-assemblies or finished products according to inspection plans using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurement equipment.
- Document inspection and test results in traceable manner in a database or other internal programs.
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor inspection and test equipment to ensure proper operation and use of calibrated equipment.
- Assist in creating/updating of inspection plans, test procedures, SOPs for the incoming inspection function.
- Initiate Vendor Non-conformance reports as required.
- Work with other company personnel to address inspection issues, questions.
- Achieve KPI targets based on FY goals.
- Assist in other Quality Department activities as reasonably requested from time to time.
- Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
What your background should look like
- Good understanding and ability to use MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be familiar with mechanical measurement techniques and be able to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.
- Must be capable of reading engineering drawings (i.e., BS308).
- Previous use of SAP would be an advantage.
- A good understanding of Technical English and good communication skills.
- Good general education to GCSE level.
- Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualifications is advantageous.
