Job Overview
TE Connectivity\’s Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity\’s EH&S policies and procedures.
To carry out metal finishing of components using electroplating techniques and other processes as required.
What your background should look like:
1. To understand and follow all plating procedures associated with the one process line within 6 months.
2. To consistently meet production targets set by supervision within 2 months of being introduced to a process.
3. To be fully conversant with all aspects of safety in the Plating Shop and associated areas within 1 month.
4. To make routine additions to solutions with minimum supervision within 6 months.
5. To maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times in order that rigorous safety standards can be maintained.
6. To fully understand and carry out all aspects of inspection, including using fluoroscope and various other tests relating to the one line after three months.
7. To be able to identify and prepare all substrates associated with the one process line within one month.
8. To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
9. To complete basic training programme in 12 – 18 months.
10. Any other reasonable task as may be requested from time to time to support the function of the department
