Job Overview: Join TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Team supporting the Materials Manufacturing Facility, where compounds are produced for wire and cable manufacturing and global distribution. You’ll work with mixers, twin screws, extruders, chillers, driers, cutters, and more. This role demands quick response to breakdowns, strong fault diagnosis skills (electrical/mechanical), and mentoring apprentices. You’ll also contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects.
Job Requirements:
- Perform hands-on maintenance and TPM tasks.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Minimise downtime and ensure high equipment standards.
- Maintain safety and follow EH&S policies.
- Log activities in CMMS.
- Communicate across teams and with suppliers.
- Diagnose faults and request spare parts.
- Support RCA and implement countermeasures.
What your background should look like:
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Flexible across machines and disciplines.
- 18th Edition qualification (advantageous).
- Experience with DC drives/motors and Allen Bradley PLCs (plus).
- Tool Room Equipment proficiency (lathe, mill, drills, etc.) is a bonus.
