Overview
In this role, you will partner with HR leaders to shape workforce capability and flexibility for TE’s AD&M operations in Swindon. You’ll design and deliver training programs, embed safety and quality practices, and drive talent development from shopfloor to management. By aligning learning with business goals, you help sustain high performance and an engaged culture. You’ll be at the heart of continuous improvement, leveraging Six Sigma concepts to optimize training outcomes and impact.
Responsibilities
- Partner with country HR to translate business cycles into people strategies for capability building
- Drive employee engagement and culture within AD&M BU and TE
- Apply Six Sigma (TEOA) principles to improve training processes
- Identify training needs aligned to the site strategic workforce plan and onboarding
- Develop training for roles across operations, from shopfloor to management
- Ensure training complies with EH&S, regulatory, and engineering requirements
- Design and develop comprehensive, role-tailored training programs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date training documentation and audit trails
- Promote safety culture through plant-wide safety training
- Coordinate local and external training; manage training records and audits
- Track and analyze training metrics to measure effectiveness
- Manage local labor reports and audits for external regulators
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years in talent management, training, or organizational development in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of talent assessment, performance management, and employee development practices
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in manufacturing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems
