Materials Planning Analyst in Hastings

Overview

In this role you manage materials planning for a product line to ensure on-time customer fulfillment. You’ll maintain rolling orderbooks, coordinate with production and procurement, and monitor inventory targets and subcontract scope. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve schedule conflicts, manage changes across the supply chain, and prepare materials plans for load meetings. You’ll contribute to meeting forecasts and supplier performance inputs, shaping value through efficient planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage all internal customer communications and determine actions to keep the team aligned
• Maintain rolling orderbooks and notify customers of changes in advance
• Set monthly and quarterly billing and inventory targets for the assigned GPL
• Ensure material and capacity feasibility to meet customer deadlines
• Identify and resolve mid- to long-range schedule conflicts to balance supply and improve inventory
• Introduce and manage drawing changes across the supply chain
• Update materials plan for weekly load meetings
• Coordinate changes to production or materials plan with Production Scheduler/Value Stream Leader
• Review MOQs, lead-times and safety stocks with Procurement and manufacturing
• Attend daily PIM meetings and weekly load meetings as required

Key requirements

• 2–3 years in materials or production planning
• Experience in SAP or similar MRP system (must have)
• Degree level or equivalent
• Strong communication skills across all formats
• Good organizational skills with deadline-driven focus
• High attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong numeracy and IT skills, including Excel (intermediate to advanced)
