We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Stock Controller to join our growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory operations, working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives.
They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers.
They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance.
- Job Requirements
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across all storage locations
- Oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring correct documentation
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances and discrepancies
- Maintain and update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms - SAP
- Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock takes to verify inventory accuracy
- Ensure correct labelling, slotting, and storage of all products
- Generate stock reports, KPI dashboards, and trend analysis for management
- Manage returned goods processes and coordinate with relevant departments
- **Additional Duties:**
- Maintain accurate batch and serial number traceability records
- Identify, segregate, and manage non-conforming or damaged/quarantine stock
- Monitor reorder points and raise purchase requisitions when stock hits minimum thresholds
- Conduct spot-checks on picker accuracy to minimise mispicks
- Support logistics scheduling to ensure stock readiness aligns with outbound collections
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock (SMOS) and escalate for review
- Prepare documentation and evidence packs for internal and external audits
- Perform routine WMS/ERP data integrity checks
- Contribute to writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain scanning/barcode/RFID equipment and flag faults promptly
- Monitor for and report signs of theft, pilferage, or unauthorised access
- Ensure safe storage compliance including weight limits, stacking rules, and COSHH requirements
- Log and report near-miss incidents involving stock handling equipment Investigate and resolve inventory variances and discrepancies Maintain and update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms - SAP
- What your background should look like
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory, or warehouse role (3 years minimum)
- Strong proficiency in WMS/ERP systems - SAP
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Solid understanding of FIFO stock rotation principles
- **Desirable:**
- Forklift license (FLT)
- Familiarity with lean principles and 5S methodology
- SAP ERP System / S4 Hana
