The Aerospace, Defence and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE Connectivity is a leader in the development and engineering of a comprehensive portfolio of connectors, fibre optics, wires, cables, antennas, circuit protectors, and mouldings for harsh‑environment applications. AD&M serves a global customer base, supported by over 6,000 employees delivering a broad range of solutions. TE Connectivity offers an Undergraduate Intern Program with the AD&M Wire & Cable R&D Group based in Swindon, UK. Working with minimal supervision in the analysis, processing and testing of conductors, polymers and finished wire and cable products with the appropriate electrical, mechanical, chemical and environmental properties for various applications within the AD&M Industry. You will gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic engineering environment. Internship Details
We are seeking an Undergraduate Placement Student to join our team in JULY 2026 for a 12‑month period in a Coop/Intern position.
Responsibilities
- Hands‑on material and product testing and processing.
- Process and development of new and existing products.
- Material and product characterisation including physical, electrical, chemical and fire testing.
- Engineering.
- Failure analysis.
- Environmental compliance support.
- Manufacturing and product management support.
- Coordination with the Analytical Department and Manufacturing QC laboratories.
- Technical report and procedure writing.
- Communication with our other Engineers in EMEA, US and India.
Qualifications
- Must have completed 2 years of a relevant Engineering course such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Sports Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, etc. with material modules.
- 3 or more science/engineering‑based A/AS levels (A‑C grades).
- Hands‑on Laboratory Experience.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools.
- Be able to work as a Team.
