Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely quality support for new products, processes, and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
- Leading and supporting quality improvement projects focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Using advanced problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis) to resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
- Interfacing with customers and suppliers to manage complaints, conduct audits, host Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and resolve quality issues.
- Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), performing internal audits, and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Preparing quality performance reports and using analytical tools to assess process capability and product quality.
- Collaborating with assembly teams, providing quality-related training, and supporting teams in meeting cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Your ideal background:
- Good standard of mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering knowledge
- Demonstrable experience within a quality role
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Degree (HNC) in an engineering or quality discipline (desirable)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Auditing qualification or experience
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
- Understanding of Lean methodologies
