The Role
This is a high-impact role where you’ll move beyond product pricing to lead strategic, value-based conversations — helping customers understand the full performance, reliability and total cost-of-ownership advantages that Shell products deliver. You’ll be at the forefront of introducing some of the world’s most advanced lubricant technologies including Shell Midel synthetic ester transformer oils and Shell Panolin Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EALs) and partnering with leading OEMs to deliver measurable operational and sustainability benefits to customers. Reporting to the Shell Business Manager, you will take ownership for growing Shell Lubricants, Filtration and other workshop consumables in your region. Working within a high-trust model, you’ll have freedom and autonomy to develop your territory while being backed by a structured onboarding plan, product training and ongoing leadership support. We’ll help you become a recognised technical and commercial leader, known for helping customers achieve real cost-savings, operational improvements and environmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth of Shell Lubricants and Filtration through major account development and strategic new business wins.
- Lead value-based sales discussions at multiple levels within customer organisations, focusing on total cost of ownership, productivity, asset life and compliance benefits, not just unit price.
- Build and execute strategic account plans and a strong pipeline in Salesforce.
- Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts and market intelligence.
- Work closely with local TDX branches and other department sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Travel overnight as required to engage with key decision makers across your territory.
What We’re Looking For
- A highly motivated, commercially astute sales professional with a track record of winning and growing large, complex accounts.
- Proven ability to sell on value and outcomes rather than just price.
- Ideally experience in lubricants, industrial consumables or other technically driven sectors.
- Confident in using data and analysis to demonstrate ROI and total cost-of-ownership advantages.
- Mechanically minded — comfortable discussing technical applications and asking the right questions.
- Excellent attention to detail, clear communication skills and strong CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred).
- Passionate about presenting yourself, your work and what you represent with integrity and credibility.
