We are TDS, established in 2003 to operate tenancy deposit schemes across the UK and provide dispute resolution services related to tenancy deposits. We operate in England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland from our head office in Hemel Hempstead and other offices in Glasgow and Belfast. In 2022, we launched the New Homes Ombudsman Service. We are collaborative and forward-thinking, with our colleagues and customers at the heart of everything we do. To ensure our services continue to make a difference, we are expanding our Technology team and have an opportunity for an Automation Test Engineer.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our TDS office in Hemel Hempstead, following our hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. The salary for this position is £60,000 per annum.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java) and TestNG.
- Conduct API testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured libraries.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Execute cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools such as BrowserStack.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Identify, log, and track defects using Jira.
To be considered for this opportunity you must:
- Have experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver (Java).
- Demonstrate experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Have a strong understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Salesforce, ideally including Service Cloud, Flows, Validation Rules, and integrations.
- Have experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Have a strong understanding of system integrations, including APIs, connectors, and messaging services.
