The New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS) was established in 2022 to provide independent redress for purchasers of new homes across the UK. We investigate unresolved complaints, promote fair outcomes for consumers and developers, and identify opportunities to improve quality and standards across the new homes sector. NHOS currently provides redress services for developers signed up to the New Homes Quality Code, covering more than 65% of all privately built new homes in the UK, with ambitions to expand further across the sector. NHOS operates independently and is part of the TDS Group, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in dispute resolution services.
We are seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors to join our Board and contribute to the strategic leadership, governance and continued development of NHOS. This is an exciting opportunity to support an organisation that is making a tangible difference to consumers while helping to improve standards across the housing industry. - The ability to analyse complex issues independently and objectively.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience contributing to effective governance and decision-making.
- A commitment to fairness, integrity and public service values.
