We are TDS. We were established in 2003 to operate tenancy deposit schemes across the UK and to provide dispute resolution services in relation to tenancy deposits. We now operate tenancy deposit schemes in England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland from our head office in Hemel Hempstead and our other offices in Glasgow and Belfast. In 2022 we also launched the New Homes Ombudsman Service. We are collaborative and forward-thinking with our colleagues and customers at the heart of everything we do. With our proven success, it is necessary to expand our team to ensure the services we offer continue to make a difference.
This is a permanent, full-time position that will be based in our TDS office in Hemel Hempstead and will follow our hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. The salary for this position is £43,260.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a team of Resolution Executives based in the Hemel Hempstead office, providing guidance and support to drive high performance in case handling, service delivery and professional development.
- Oversee end-to-end dispute resolution case management, ensuring cases are handled in a timely, efficient and impartial manner and in line with scheme rules.
- Lead the approach to achieve high-quality reviews and effective early resolution of cases.
- Monitor caseloads and allocate resources effectively to meet service requirements.
- Ensure the resolution function operates in accordance with the appropriate jurisdictional scheme rules.
- Take the lead on complex cases.
- Act as a subject matter expert on best practice and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this opportunity you must:
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience managing investigative or adjudication teams within a regulatory or legal environment.
- Be skilled in mediating disputes and negotiating settlements between parties.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of driving performance and engagement while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and decision-making capability, with the ability to interpret complex evidence and apply sound judgement.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to resolve conflicts.
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
