Automatic and Industrial Door Engineer Reading Up to £19.50 per hour depending on experience Introduction A multinational automatic door manufacturer is currently going through a period of sustained growth, and therefore is looking to expand its engineering team. The business is looking to increase its headcount by bringing in two multi skilled Engineers to help keep up with client demand due to a surge in contracts across the UK. The package includes a starting rate of up to £19.50 per hour, a lucrative commission scheme, as well as training and development opportunities. As an Automatic Door Engineer, you will be responsible for: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors (70%) and industrial doors (30%). Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment. Basic electrical wiring. Adhering to industry standards such as BS EN 16005 and DHF. Providing customers with advice and identifying the best solution to their individual requirement. The successful automatic and industrial door Engineer will have: Experience working for an EN 16005 recognised automatic door company. Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic door systems. A valid EN 16005 certificate, or at least have held one in the past. A clean driving license. A CSCS Card. Expected workload: The workload for both positions will include a mixture of automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, and barriers. The split is expected to be roughly as indicated below: 70% Automatic Doors 25% Industrial Doors 5% gates/barriers The majority of the work is service, maintenance, and repair but there likely will be 1 or 2 installs per month too. In return, you will receive a remuneration package which includes: Hourly rate up to £19.50 per hour depending on experience and location Top earners bringing in over £70,000 per annum Home-based, door to door pay Premium overtime rates at 1.5 x after 9.5 hours per day, travel time is considered overtime Saturdays paid at 1.5. Sundays paid at 2.0 Commission scheme (Average earnings £3,000 per year) All power tools and hand tools provided Brand new professionally racked company van – personal use optional Mobile phone Tablet Callouts: £15 per day when on call plus £15 additional payment per call plus 3 hours double time minimum. If you work over 3 hours the additional hours are paid at double time £150 per out of hours call out if call taken when not on call. Training: Engineers will be put through DHF Gate Diploma, DHF Door Diploma, and IPAF Please note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
