A national automatic and industrial door systems specialist is looking to expand and is therefore targeting an Engineer based in the North to join their team. The company has been established for over twenty years and has a respected name in the automatic door, industrial door, gate, and barrier industries. The package includes a basic salary of up to £38,610, company van with personal use, premium overtime rates, and more.

Over the last five years, they have accelerated growth plans, opening new offices and doubling their Engineer head count. Almost 90% of the individuals who have been placed with this company still work there today. As a Door Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of industrial doors including roller shutters, sectional doors, speed doors, overhead doors, shop fronts, and occasionally loading bay equipment.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment.
  • Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
  • Basic electrical wiring.
  • Adhering to BS EN 16005 standards.
  • Planning daily works.
  • Quoting and ordering parts.

The successful Door Engineer will have:

  • Experience working for an EN 16005 recognised automatic door company.
  • Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic and industrial door systems.
  • Experience working on gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment.
  • A valid EN 16005 certificate, or at least have held one in the past.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • A CSCS Card.

In return, you will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:

  • Basic salary £33,000 - £41,000
  • £140 call out standby fee (1 week in every 5) plus £20 per callout
